BENGEL & BOEF

Where are they from?

Very far away from here is a small wooden house, right in the middle of the moors. Living in that house is daddy, mummy and Bengel, well Bengel doesn't really live there because next to the house is a small tent. And that's where Bengel lives, together with his dog, Boef. One day Boef stood outside the tent barking and has never left since that day. They became very close friends and made very big plans. They want to take their tent and go on a trip together...

How did Bengel and Boef find "De Molenhoek" campsite?

The evening before Bengel and Boef went on holiday they were lying in bed waiting quietly until it got dark. At last, when it became dark outside and mum and dad were lying in their bed they crept out of their tent. Bengel, with a rucksack on his back, and Boef walked for hours and hours in the darkness. Every now and again they stopped for a while to rest on a bench before walking further. After three days' walking they saw lots of different colours in the distance; they looked like tents. Bengel and Boef came closer to the tents and saw lots of children playing. That's just what Bengel and Boef were looking for! Quickly, they ran into the woods looking for a nice spot to set up their tent on a big grassy area.

Bengel and Boef are very pleased with the spot they found. They had always wanted to live in a place like this. "This is where we want stay for ever and ever," said Bengel to Boef. After erecting their tent they decided to go and have a look at all the other tents. Maybe they could play with the other children.

Since then Bengel and Boef have never left "De Molenhoek". They absolutely love it here and organise lots of activities for the other children.
